VT Coastal Collaborator Advances Coastal Resilience as a partner in the Coastal Stormwater Center of the Southeast

Through the Virginia Tech Coastal Collaborator, Virginia Tech is helping advance regional stormwater solutions as part of the Coastal Stormwater Center of the Southeast (CSC), one of four U.S. Environmental Protection Agency–designated Stormwater Centers of Excellence. The CSC is led by the Center for Watershed Protection in partnership with universities and nonprofit organizations across the Southeast.

Key partners include Virginia Tech, North Carolina Coastal Federation, East Carolina University, Clemson University, the University of Georgia, the University of Florida, and Auburn University, working together to connect coastal communities with science‑based stormwater expertise. In addition to technical assistance, the CSC supports applied research to address barriers to adopting effective stormwater management practices and strengthen long‑term coastal resilience.
